In "Reflection on Feminism in Jane Eyre", Gao says "Jane is uniqe". However, was Jane really unique when
Jane Eyre was published? I want to prove whether Jane was unique or not. I don't decide thesis statement. I will make clear my thesis while I write my report.

In some ways she is very normal, but she does some things that were surely unusual. One of the unusual things is her behaviour when she leaves Thornfield. It's true she is upset, but leaving all her possessions on the coach and wandering around with no money, no food and nowhere to go shows an unusual kind of person, I think.
